RIGBY, Idaho -- Jefferson County detectives said the bomb threat call that caused the evacuation of Rigby High School in early May came from overseas.
According to a news release, detective tracked down the suspects by subpoenaing phone records. Apparently, the suspects used "an Internet application known to prank high schools, hotels and other businesses."
Police said a similar incident occurred in Polk County, Fla.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is working with Polk County, FBI and Interpol officials, as well as local authorities in Ireland and Norway in pursuing charges against two or more minors they say were involved in the incident.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said it would not seek extradition because of the ages of those involved.
Investigation into the matter continues.
