What a week, I think this has been the week for Domestics. I don't' know why, but it seems people are fed up with each other, and they are ready to fight. In fact yesterday alone i went to five different domestics. That makes for a long night let me tell you. Not only does it take time to deal with the domestic itself, but you also have a ton of paperwork to do for each one.
For those of you who don't know what a domestic is, it's a fight, between family members. Usually Husband and Wife. The first one we went to we arrested both the husband and the wife. The second we arrested the husband, and the others we did not make arrests. Many times a someone will call us to help stop the domestic from becoming physical. So many times we go to the house, and we don't make an arrest but we do what we can to get the two to separate for the night.
Anyway, after last night, I have reconfirmed my previous thought. Stupid people should not be allowed to breed.
You do a hard job Mike. You see all the junk and crap that happens. And that day by day. In no other job you have that close connection to pls private issues. I always wonder how you can go thru this all without going crazy.I think such families are totally destroyed. You should seperate them forever .. they need help more than punishment ... IMO ;)
ReplyDeleteFYI -- Friday the 5th was a Full Moon. Maybe the domestics went "crazy". I have a friend who\'s a paramedic and he says that the crazies always come out on the Full Moon.Just remember the key to every domestic call -- Duct Tape. Us liberaly.-- Fizz --
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, I\'m back...changed my space adress. I just decided to deal with the whole town reading my space. :) We\'ve been dealing with domestic and child custody issues this week...seems there\'s an epidemic. Hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThink some if has to do with the full moon. We were busy last week too. Also think it\'s got a lot to do with the first of the month and all the welfare payments and hand outs come out. Folks got money for alcohol again cause it always seems to be the root of the problem. Alcohol and drugs=job security. Later, Sandy
